John Regan has over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and management, including multiple start-ups. He played an active role in the development of the United States environmental markets. In 2002, as the investment consultant for the Jesuit Community of Santa Clara University he negotiated the seed capital investment for the then-emerging Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), a cap and trade greenhouse gas emission reduction trading platform. In 2004 he co-founded Environmental Credit Corp. (ECC) a leading U.S. agriculture methane capture, carbon credits offset project developer and Carbon Credit Management, to managing ECC’s carbon credits as a CCX exchange member. Prior to Controlled Lighting, John has experience negotiating, planning and spearheading large-scale LED installations. His client installations include commercial office buildings, cold storage facilities, warehouses and automobile dealerships. At Controlled Lighting, he continues to build his portfolio of successful and transformative lighting system installations.
John served with the U.S. Army stationed in DaNang, Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1971. He received his BS in Finance from San Jose State University and received a Post Graduate Certificate of Completion from the Wharton Institute for Risk Management Studies, University of Pennsylvania.
Carl Napolitano has extensive experience in start‐up ventures and new product launches, as well as over seven years of experience in the application of LED lighting technology and lighting controls in commercial and industrial buildings. Since entering the LED lighting industry in 2008 he has played a leadership role in developing markets and increasing sales of LED lighting technology. He has spearheaded several successful, complex, complete building lighting retrofits, utilizing LED edge lit Flat Panel technology in the US and Asia. At Controlled Lighting, he has been the principal interface in establishing critical relationships within government agencies, corporate, medical, engineering and architectural communities.
Prior to entering the LED industry, Carl established himself as a successful Wall Street executive with 30 years of experience as a head trader and director of arbitrage at several major investment banking firms. Carl founded the Hedge Fund and Managed Futures firm SoundView Capital Management in 1995 which he sold in 2006. He is a US Navy veteran, honorably discharged.
Greg Newcomer is a facilities management professional with 30+ years of experience in commercial, industrial and municipal facilities. He spent 26 years as Division Facilities Manager for a large convenience store chain where he was responsible for all mechanical and construction activities for 280 store sites in five states. Alongside this, Greg has been heavily involved in Theatrical Lighting Design for many years, providing lighting designs and supervising the lighting crew for over 150 productions. At Controlled Lighting, Greg is responsible for LED technology distribution and sales that help commercial, industrial and municipal facilities reduce energy consumption and cut operating costs.
In his community, Moorestown, New Jersey, Greg is well known for his proactive involvement with many projects and committees. He is the Past Chair of Moorestown Township Parks and Recreation Committee, Past Chair of the Appearance Committee and, and Past Vice Chair of the Planning Board. Greg was named as Moorestown’s Citizen of the Year in 2004 and was elected to Moorestown Town Council for a 4 year term in 2012.
Eric Cleveland has over five years of professional experience as a media producer and marketing strategist. Prior to joining Controlled Lighting, Eric co-founded and directed Studio Variety Group, a non-profit media marketing consultancy serving 501c3 non-profit organizations in Santa Cruz, California. In 2016 and 2017, he served as director of photography for Santa Cruz Baroque Festival's 43rd and 44th concert season. At Controlled Lighting, Eric Cleveland oversees production of marketing and brand media.
Eric studied Global Information and Social Enterprise at University of California Santa Cruz before pursuing marketing and media production full-time.
